Dr. Jocelyn Tan is a board-certified physician in both Medical Oncology and Lifestyle Medicine, bringing an integrative, whole-person approach to cancer care for the patients she serves. As the founder of the VA’s first Integrative Oncology clinic, offering telehealth services to veterans nationwide, she combines the rigor of academic medicine with a deep commitment to personalized, evidence-based care.

Dr. Tan practices hematology and medical oncology at the Pittsburgh VA Healthcare System, where she also serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. Her training includes residency and fellowship at Albert Einstein Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx and the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and she holds board certifications from both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. In 2021, she was selected as an Integrative Cancer Scholar through the University of Michigan’s NCI-sponsored program, and she has completed advanced medical acupuncture training at the Helms Institute in Berkeley, California.

Her focus areas span conventional oncology and integrative approaches including nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and acupuncture as complements to cancer treatment. She is also the author of two books, The Keto Code and Keto Oncology: A Comprehensive Guide, which reflect her commitment to translating complex metabolic and nutritional science into practical guidance for patients and clinicians.

Patients who work with Dr. Tan can expect a clinician who understands the full spectrum of cancer care and is equally invested in the science behind treatment and the humanity of the patient receiving it.
