Designed to complement your oncology care, not replace it.

Oncology appointments understandably focus on diagnosis, imaging, treatment, response, and symptoms. That is the right use of that time. But it often leaves little room for the day-to-day questions patients think about most.
“What should I actually be eating?”
“Which supplements make sense for me, and which should I avoid?”
“Are there clinically appropriate medications worth discussing?”
“What do my current results tell us about my metabolic health?”
“What changes are actually worth prioritizing right now?”
“How does this fit alongside the treatment I'm already receiving?”
A consultation gives you dedicated physician time to work through your own situation and establish or refine a metabolic strategy that fits it.
Surgery, radiation, systemic therapy, imaging, staging, tumor markers, and cancer-treatment decisions remain with your oncology team.
Your Metabolic Care physician focuses on the metabolic questions surrounding your care, which may include nutrition, lifestyle, supplements, existing laboratory information, and clinically appropriate medication strategies.
Board-certified MDs with backgrounds in radiation and medical oncology, integrative medicine, and lifestyle medicine. You choose yours when you book, and we see patients in all 50 states.

Metabolic Care works alongside the care you already receive. Recommendations are individualized and no outcomes are guaranteed.
Complete your intake and upload relevant medical records, current medications and supplements, recent laboratory results if you have them, and information about your current cancer treatment. Your physician reviews what you send ahead of your appointment and goes through it with you during the visit.
Use dedicated telehealth time to talk through your history, treatment, priorities, questions, lifestyle, current medications and supplements, and existing laboratory information.
Your physician identifies the areas most relevant to your situation and discusses individualized nutrition, lifestyle, supplement, monitoring, or medication strategies when clinically appropriate.
Receive a written plan: your priorities in a sensible order, clear next steps, and a clear sense of what to ignore for now. The goal is not to hand you more things to manage. It is to make the next few months obvious. You can share the plan with your oncology team.
No laboratory panel is included with these consultations. Existing results can be reviewed when relevant, and any new testing would be arranged separately.
Metabolic Care is trusted by thousands of patients navigating cancer care.

Recommendations are individualized, and no medication or supplement is appropriate for everyone. Metabolic Care complements the standard of care provided by your own oncology and medical team, does not manage cancer treatment, and does not provide emergency care. No outcomes are guaranteed.
Metabolic Care provides metabolic health support and education that may be used alongside a patient's oncology plan. It does not provide emergency care and is not a substitute for a patient's oncologist or medical treatment. Metabolic Care does not guarantee outcomes and does not claim to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent cancer.
It is a one-on-one telehealth appointment with a Metabolic Care physician focused on the metabolic questions surrounding cancer care, including nutrition, lifestyle, supplements, existing laboratory information, and clinically appropriate medication strategies. It is a focused physician consultation rather than an enrolled program.
No. Your oncologist is your own physician, not part of Metabolic Care. We complement the standard of care your oncology team provides. Surgery, radiation, systemic therapy, imaging, staging, and cancer-treatment decisions remain with your oncologist.
Yes. You are welcome to upload existing laboratory results, medical records, imaging reports, medication lists, and supplement lists before your visit, and your physician can review what is relevant during the appointment.
No. Neither consultation includes laboratory testing or a lab panel. If new testing would be useful, your physician can discuss that with you, and it would be arranged and billed separately. Patients who do add testing typically spend somewhere in the range of $50 to $150.
Your physician may recommend medications or supplements when clinically appropriate for your individual situation. No medication or supplement is appropriate for everyone, and nothing is required. The consultation fee covers the physician's time. Any prescription medications or supplements are purchased separately.
Common topics include what to eat, whether specific supplements make sense for you, how to interpret existing metabolic laboratory information, lifestyle priorities, and whether metabolic medications may be clinically appropriate alongside your current treatment.
The metabolic questions surrounding cancer care come up across cancer types and at every stage of treatment, including before treatment begins and after it ends. Your physician tailors the discussion to your diagnosis, your current treatment, and what you are actually dealing with right now.
Our physicians are licensed state by state, and between them we see patients in all 50 states. You select your state at the start of booking, so you only see physicians licensed where you live.

You leave with a written plan: the priorities discussed and the next steps that make sense for your situation. If you would like continued structure, ongoing nurse support, and metabolic laboratory testing, C-MOP is available. You can also book another consultation whenever you want to reconnect. Ongoing messaging with your physician between appointments is not included with a consultation.
And sometimes a more structured 90-day approach makes more sense. Here is the simplest way to tell the difference.
Most patients start with a consultation. C-MOP is for patients who want testing, structure, and ongoing support across 90 days.
C-MOP combines a physician consultation with metabolic laboratory testing and ongoing nurse and coordinator support across 90 days.
